Financial Assistance for Ukrainian Citizens

According to Novyny.live: Residents of two frontline regions in Ukraine can now apply for financial aid of up to $4,000 from the organization 'People in Need.' Applications are being accepted until March 31, 2026, giving potential participants ample time to register and submit their documents. This initiative is part of broader international efforts to support war-affected communities.

The funding comes from Swiss resources. Beyond direct cash payments, the project also offers training and mentorship opportunities for participants. This added support can help recipients better navigate the challenges they face during these difficult times, making the program more than just a financial lifeline.

Priority Groups and Registration

Priority groups for the program include:

  • Internally displaced persons (IDPs)
  • Individuals with disabilities
  • Single parents
  • Elderly people
  • Veterans

Registration is open to residents of two regions: Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv. In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, applicants from the cities of Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Pavlohrad, as well as the Dnipro and Samar districts, are eligible. In Kharkiv Oblast, residents of the Berestyn, Kharkiv, Lozova, Bohodukhiv, and Chuhuiv districts can apply.

This initiative could provide significant relief for many people facing severe hardships due to war and other crises. 'People in Need' hopes the program will improve living conditions and offer essential resources for recovery and growth.

“This program is a crucial step in supporting vulnerable groups in Ukraine who have suffered from military actions and socio-economic changes.”

The combination of financial aid and accompanying training can greatly ease the transition to new life circumstances and help restore livelihoods. It also underscores the international community's solidarity with Ukraine during this challenging period in its history.
