Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 58 assaults in a day: where the fiercest battles are on the front.
Ukrainian servicemen are repelling assaults by Russian troops on multiple fronts as of August 18. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are also eliminating enemy military equipment depots, according to the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
Russia is heavily shelling Ukraine
Over the past day, the occupiers carried out four missile strikes and 80 airstrikes using 152 guided bombs. The enemy deployed more than five thousand kamikaze drones and conducted 5173 shellings of Ukrainian positions and settlements. Ukrainian defense forces responded with successful strikes, destroying part of the enemy's equipment and personnel.
What is the situation on the front and where are the toughest battles happening
In the Donetsk region, 58 assaults have been recorded in various directions, along with heavy fighting in the Novopavlivka and Lyman areas. There were five attacks in the Kramatorsk direction and nine in Toretsk. In the southern part of the country, the occupiers continue air attacks. Ukrainian defenders are inflicting significant losses on enemy forces.
Recently, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced successes in certain sections of the front. The General Staff released data on the pace of advancement of Ukrainian troops.
