Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani expressed the opinion that the summit in Alaska could be a turning point after which real negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will begin. However, he emphasized that everything will depend on how open the dialogue is and how willing Vladimir Putin is to engage in it.Tajani believes that the further development of events will depend on Putin's reaction to Trump's proposals. He stressed that the resolution of the conflict will depend on whether Putin is willing to engage in an open dialogue and communicate with Ukrainian President Zelensky.Media reports have also emerged regarding possible proposals from Trump to Putin during the negotiations, including possible territorial concessions from Ukraine in favor of Russia. US intelligence agencies are already ensuring the safety of both leaders during the meeting in Alaska, and British Defense Minister John Healey emphasized the importance of this first step in efforts to resolve the conflict.
