According to UATV: A meeting took place in Miami between the Ukrainian team and U.S. representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. During the talks, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed the need to sustain diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the war with Russia. Energy Situation in Ukraine

Zelenskyy underscored the significance of international diplomacy, stating:

“It’s important for all of us in the world that diplomacy continues and we try to end this war — Russia’s war against Ukraine.”

Regarding energy issues, he highlighted major power outages in the Chernihiv region, noting that 'in Chernihiv region there were significant outages, and now part of the area is without electricity.'

In response to energy strikes recorded in the Sumy, Dnipro, Donetsk, and Kharkiv regions, repair work is underway in Zaporizhzhia after an attack on an energy facility. The Ukrainian president also reported the detention of a shadow fleet tanker used by Russia to transport oil. He emphasized that this vessel is already under sanctions by Ukraine, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and the United States, stating:

“This tanker is already under sanctions from Ukraine, already under sanctions from Britain, the European Union, and America.”

Zelenskyy added that Ukraine is collaborating with European nations to ensure their legal frameworks allow not only stopping such vessels but also blocking them and confiscating the oil. 'We are working with European countries so that their legislative regulation allows not only stopping such vessels but also blocking them and confiscating the oil,' the president said.

This meeting and the president’s remarks highlight the pressing issues of diplomacy and energy security for Ukraine amid the ongoing war. In the context of international support, it is crucial for Ukraine to receive assistance not only in military but also in energy sectors, which could help stabilize the situation and mitigate the consequences of Russian attacks. Diplomatic efforts aimed at strengthening sanctions against Russia also remain a key component in the fight to restore Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
