Zelensky announced a reboot of the Office of the President and negotiations with the USA: main points from the address.
According to ТСН: On the evening of November 28, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky outlined a number of important changes that would be implemented in the near future.
Among them are checks in ministries and law enforcement agencies, changes in the Office of the President, and preparations for possible negotiations with the United States of America.
Negotiations with the USA
The head of state reported on preparations for negotiations with the USA, which are scheduled for the near future.
For this meeting, Ukraine will send a highly professional delegation:
Chief of the General Staff Andriy Hnatov;
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov;
Representatives of the Ukrainian intelligence.
“Negotiations will take place soon. Our representatives will be there — Chief of the General Staff Andriy Hnatov, representatives of the MFA, Secretary of the NSDC Rustem Umerov, and our intelligence,” Zelensky said.
He also emphasized that during the negotiations, “100% of our strength” will be focused on defending Ukraine.
“Everyone must act in the interests of our state and defend it,” the head of state added.
Inspection of ministries and law enforcement agencies
In his address, the president expressed hope that Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, along with deputies, would ensure three key points:
Adoption of the budget;
Inspection of ministries;
Analysis of the situation in the law enforcement system.
“I expect candidates for the ministers of energy and justice. Current ministers need to be evaluated so that absolutely clear conclusions can be drawn. Whether the current officials meet the challenges of this winter and this war,” Zelensky stressed.
Problems in the army
The president focused on existing problems in the Armed Forces of Ukraine that require urgent resolution, particularly regarding the rational distribution of personnel.
“First of all, it is necessary to ensure a fair rational distribution of personnel among brigades,” the head of state noted.
According to him, there are principles for solving this issue, and “everyone in each brigade is talking about it.”
At the same time, Zelensky announced a meeting of the High Command, which will take place next week.
Reboot of the Office of the President
The head of state announced that the head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, has submitted his resignation.
“I want there to be no questions about Ukraine. Therefore, today such internal decisions. First. There will be a reboot of the Office of the President of Ukraine. The head of the Office, Andriy Yermak, has written a resignation letter,” Zelensky noted.
The corresponding decree was published on the official website of the president.
The president thanked Yermak for his work, particularly for representing the Ukrainian position in negotiations.
The head of state also announced a reboot of the Office of the President and noted that consultations with potential candidates for the head of the OP would take place soon.
As it became known, in the morning of November 28, people's deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported on searches at Andriy Yermak's residence, conducted by NABU and SAP in the government quarter.
Later, the Bureau confirmed the searches, stating that these investigative actions are sanctioned and conducted as part of an open investigation with the possibility of later announcements of details.
Andriy Yermak stated that he is ready to assist the investigation. However, he did not specify in which case the searches are being conducted.
“There are no obstacles for investigators. They were given full access to the apartment, my lawyers are present on site, cooperating with law enforcement. From my side — full assistance,” Yermak said.
The European Union cautiously reacted to these events, emphasizing that NABU and SAP’s actions “indicate that anti-corruption agencies in Ukraine are doing their job.”
At the same time, changes in the Office of the President and preparations for negotiations with the USA reflect the activation of action by the Ukrainian authorities in the context of the current situation. Checks in ministries and the army indicate that the government is ready to respond to challenges and work on improving the effectiveness of state structures in wartime.
These developments are marked by the context of increasing international support for Ukraine, as well as the internal need to strengthen trust in the government and its decisions among the public.
