According to ТСН: Two infantrymen from the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade 'Kholodne Yaru' held the defense near Kostiantynivka for 130 days.

Infantrymen Denys 'Bars' and Dmytro 'K2' returned home alive and captured one of the occupiers.

Difficulties in the Positions

They admitted that the most challenging moment was the first contact with the enemy:

'This was the scariest part. After that, it was like a well-rehearsed play. It’s better when you are shooting rather than being shot at.'

In total, the soldiers have accounted for seven eliminated occupiers. They took radios from the dead Russian soldiers and listened to information about the enemy's movements for another two months, relaying data to the battalion's control observation post.

Communication with Relatives

Throughout this time, the soldiers communicated with their families through audio messages. Their voices were recorded on a dictaphone, and comrades at the KSP sent these audio messages to their families.

Trophies and a POW

The soldiers boasted about a trophy AK-12 assault rifle. Denys's personal rifle was lost during an enemy FPV attack, so he had to use the enemy's weapon.

The soldiers were evacuated from the position on an ATV with a trailer. Along with them, they took a 23-year-old Russian POW, Danil Sychov from Volgograd, who surrendered during the battle and remained at the positions for more than two months with the Ukrainian warriors.

This story vividly illustrates the difficulties and challenges faced by Ukrainian soldiers on the front. Despite the horrific conditions, they continue to fulfill their military tasks, demonstrating courage and resilience. The return of 'Bars' and 'K2' has added hope to their families and highlighted the importance of maintaining communication with loved ones even in the most challenging circumstances.
