According to TSN.ua: Ukrainian author and volunteer Andriy Liubka has recently shared details of his service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Liubka voluntarily enlisted on February 1, 2023, and has now taken his military oath. He is currently in his second week of duty, serving under extreme weather conditions where temperatures plummet to -20 degrees Celsius (-4 degrees Fahrenheit). His decision to join reflects a broader trend of civilians from all walks of life defending Ukraine.
The writer notes that despite the severe cold, he feels he is where he belongs.
"It's my second week of service. I'm gradually getting used to my new life at the forward position and the genuinely great team," said Andriy Liubka.Liubka also remarked that the food and material provisions provided by the AFU are of good quality.
"The boots, socks, and winter sleeping bag from the Armed Forces are top-notch; I'm very satisfied with them. The only real burden is the weather conditions," he added.
