Drone Attack on Kryvyi Rih: Power Supply Restored for 45 Thousand Subscribers
According to TSN.ua: After a massive drone attack on the energy sector of Kryvyi Rih that occurred on the night of January 14, power supply has been restored for 45 thousand subscribers. The attack, although causing significant damage, did not result in any casualties.
As a result of the attack, over 700 buildings were disconnected from heat supply. The operational actions of energy workers allowed for a quick restoration of power supply, made possible by the efforts of specialists.
“Energy workers did the almost impossible. All emergency disconnected subscribers are powered. The heating plants have been lit and are already gaining temperature,” noted Oleksandr Vilkul.
Situation in the Region
It is also worth noting that 17 Russian drones were shot down in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which undoubtedly helped reduce the scale of the attack. By morning, the situation with electricity supply, water, heating plants, and transport was stabilized, indicating the effectiveness of the relevant services.
This attack is part of the ongoing escalation of the conflict in the region, where infrastructure often becomes a target. The restoration of power supply for a significant number of subscribers indicates the ability of local services to respond quickly to emergencies. The situation with drones also underscores the importance of air defense in the context of protecting civilian infrastructure.
