Night attack of the Russian Federation: Ukrenergo has implemented emergency power outages in several regions.
According to ТСН: As a result of another massive attack by Russia on the energy infrastructure, Ukrenergo was forced to implement emergency outages in several regions of Ukraine. In the morning, there was an increase in electricity consumption, complicating the situation.
Call for energy saving
The company again urges citizens to save electricity as much as possible and to move the use of powerful appliances to nighttime hours — after 23:00.
Situation in the regions
The enemy attacked the energy infrastructure in several regions. In the morning, reports were received about the disconnection of consumers in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy regions. Emergency recovery work continues where possible, considering the security situation.
Due to the difficult situation caused by Russian shelling, emergency outages were implemented in some regions in the morning, such as Kharkiv, Sumy, and Poltava. The schedules in these regions are currently not in effect.
Ukrenergo records a negative trend of increasing electricity consumption, which creates an additional burden on the already damaged system:
Today, as of 9:30, the level of electricity consumption was 7.9% higher than at the same time the previous day.
Consumption restrictions
Due to eight massive attacks since the beginning of the year, consumption restriction measures are being implemented in Ukraine. This applies to both power limitation schedules for industrial consumers and businesses, as well as hourly outages ranging from 1.5 to 4 shifts for household consumers.
The company emphasizes the critical need for energy-saving consumption, which will help reduce the duration of emergency outages.
“There remains a need for prudent energy consumption today. Please minimize the use of powerful electrical appliances. If possible, move energy-intensive processes to nighttime hours — after 23:00,”— the message from Ukrenergo states.
Earlier, the DTEK company explained the reasons for prolonged outages of up to 16 hours.
The situation remains complicated, especially in the field of electricity supply. Citizens are advised to adhere to the guidelines for saving electricity, as this can significantly impact the stability of the energy system. It is important to remember safety and support the energy front during this challenging time.
