According to Novyny.live: Emergency repair crews working to restore critical infrastructure following Russian attacks will receive a payment of 20,000 hryvnias for each of three months: January, February, and March. Applications for these funds are to be submitted via the popular government app, Diia, with the first payments scheduled to be made by the end of February. This financial support is part of a state initiative to aid workers on the front lines of reconstruction.
Specialists Mobilized for Recovery Efforts
More than 40,000 specialists have been mobilized for these urgent repair operations. The workforce includes:
- Power engineers
- Heating specialists
- Gas technicians
- Water utility workers
- Municipal service personnel
- Railway employees
The sheer number of personnel involved underscores the massive scale of the effort to rebuild essential services damaged by shelling.
Applications for the monthly payment must be filed between the 6th and the 15th of the month following the period of work. Funds will be deposited directly into the worker's bank account. As Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated:
"The first payments will be made by the end of this month."
