New Support Initiative for Veterans
According to Novyny.live: A fresh support program for Ukrainians has been launched, offering financial assistance to veterans who have lost their sight. The initiative began on July 1, 2026, aiming to improve the quality of life for combat participants and individuals with war-related disabilities. Applications for these payments are now being accepted from that date and will remain open until October 30, 2026. This effort is part of broader social recovery measures for those affected by the conflict.
Eligible veterans can receive up to 95,000 hryvnias. These funds are intended for purchasing specialized household appliances that make daily living easier.
Yuliia Svyrydenko noted that 'they can be used to set up household arrangements and create a more comfortable and safe living space.'

- Individuals with war-related disabilities covered under paragraphs 11-16 of part two, Article 7 of the same law.
Payments will be deposited into accounts at Oschadbank or Ukrgasbank, ensuring convenient and accessible financial aid distribution.
Specialized devices that can be purchased through this program include:
- Smartphones with screen-reading features,
- Adaptive household appliances,
- Navigation systems.
This initiative aims not only to provide financial relief but also to ease the daily lives of veterans facing serious challenges due to the war.
The introduction of this program marks a significant step in social support for veterans and individuals with disabilities affected by combat. It fosters not just financial assistance but also creates conditions for an improved quality of life—a particularly pressing need amid ongoing challenges for these groups. Ensuring that information about the program reaches all potential participants is crucial so they can take advantage of this opportunity.
