Blinken also discussed with Stoltenberg at NATO headquarters the issue of supporting Ukraine, where Russian forces have made advances on the eastern front, as well as the need to strengthen NATO's defense-industrial base.
Blinken stated that the US administration will continue to support everything that is being done for Ukraine. He said, 'President Biden is determined to use every day to strengthen this alliance, to continue everything we have been doing for the past four years'.
For his part, Stoltenberg stated that 'Russia has not won' in Ukraine, where it invaded in February 2022. He added that more needs to be done so that Ukraine can continue to fight and resist the Russian advance to the fullest, and also prevent Putin's success on Ukrainian territory.
It should be noted that the European Union also plans to send troops to Ukraine.
