Budanov received a gift from Prime Minister Shmyhal.

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine received an award from the Prime Minister of Ukraine for his contribution to the fight against Russian invaders. This was reported by the GUR MO.

«I thanked Denys Anatoliyovych and the entire Ukrainian government for recognizing the results of the GUR MOU's work, as well as for the comprehensive support and strengthening of the special service», – said Budanov.

According to Budanov, this award emphasizes the role and importance of the work of each intelligence officer who works in the areas of fighting against the aggressor state bravely, unconventionally, tirelessly, and persistently.

«We continue to jointly defend our state and the Ukrainian nation», – summarized the chief intelligence officer.

Earlier, a photo appeared online showing Kyrylo Budanov standing in a supermarket with a grocery cart.

He is also associated with a possible dismissal from the position of head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, but this information has not been officially confirmed.

Intelligence continues inspections

After the liberation of the aggregate plant in Vovchansk, Budanov continued inspecting the combat positions of the GUR special units in Kharkiv region. 

Warning about possible appointment

The information about Budanov's possible appointment as President of Ukraine with the support of the CIA was refuted by Ukrainian journalists.

The head of intelligence also noted that unmanned systems developed by GUR specialists allow striking Russian military targets at a great distance.
