Budanov explained why women are less susceptible to recruitment by Russian special services.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, believes that Russian special services find it easier to recruit men as they look for a person’s vulnerabilities. He explained this in an interview with Ramina Eskhaksai on Tuesday, August 5.
Recruitment and Vulnerabilities
Budanov explained that special services search for vulnerabilities in a person's lifestyle to recruit them. For instance, serious family problems or gambling addiction can make a person a potential 'client' for recruitment.
Moreover, Budanov noted that there are many more women in the Main Intelligence Directorate, and this trend has been ongoing for several years.
During the interview, the intelligence chief also talked about how much time it takes to master the profession of a scout.
It was noted that Russian special services find it easier to recruit men due to their vulnerabilities, which may be related to family issues or gambling addiction. Additionally, the number of women working in intelligence in the Main Intelligence Directorate is noticeably increasing.
