Budanov revealed details of 'information attack' against the GUR.
The head of the GUR denies information about his dismissal
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, rejected the information about his possible dismissal and called it an attempt to destabilize the information space. This was reported by the Ukrainian service of the BBC.
Another false report, and definitely not the first.
This week, the media reported about a planned replacement for Budanov and that his dismissal is being actively lobbied by the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, and the deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Oleksandr Poklad.
Unfortunately, these narratives spread in the Ukrainian information space at a certain point, which are actively propagated by Russian propaganda.
Kyrylo Budanov has been heading the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense since August 2020 and is one of the few leaders of law enforcement agencies who has held the position for over three years during the war.
Budanov emphasized that the war continues, the GUR faces many tasks, and the threats from the Russian regime remain very real.
Earlier, Budanov commented on the strike with the ballistic missile 'Kedr' on Dnipro and revealed Russia's plans regarding a new genocide in Ukraine.
