Budanov on contacts with the Russian Federation: the only form of interaction is prisoner exchanges.

According to ТСН: Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, commented on the statements of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin regarding the alleged contacts between the special services of both countries. Budanov spoke about this in an interview.

According to him, the only thing that unites these contacts is negotiations about the return of Ukrainian defenders from captivity.

“Perhaps he means the issue of prisoner exchanges - well, how do you think this all happens? Somehow we come to agreements,”

When asked about the details of these contacts, Budanov advised journalists to contact Putin directly:

“The answer is the same: ask him,”

It should also be reminded that Putin had previously stated about the continuation of contacts between the intelligence agencies of Ukraine and Russia. At the same time, the Ukrainian side continually emphasizes that any communication with representatives of Russia is exclusively humanitarian in nature, and its goal is the release of prisoners and the return of the bodies of fallen heroes.

Kyrylo Budanov had also previously explained the reasons for the queues at military recruitment offices in Russia, while scandals with territorial recruitment centers continue in Ukraine.

The situation with contacts between the intelligence agencies reflects the complexity of humanitarian issues in the context of the war. Prisoner exchanges remain an important topic, as people's lives are at stake. Currently, the Ukrainian side continues to emphasize that any interaction with Russians must be limited to humanitarian aspects.
