Queues at Gas Stations in Odesa Region: Authorities Deny Panic and Claim Control.
According to ТСН: Information about large queues at gas stations in the Odesa region, which appeared in some media, is false. The region is fully supplied with fuel, and logistics remain under control.
Official Comments
This was reported on the air of the "KYIV24" TV channel by military expert, head of the Public Council under the Odesa Regional State Administration and spokesman for the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, Serhiy Bratchuk.
According to Bratchuk, news about panic at gas stations is an artificial "provocation" that does not correspond to reality, as the actual situation in cities and data from local administrations refute these messages.
"I don’t understand, by the way, yesterday there was a dissemination in some media about the existence of queues at our gas stations to buy fuel. Well, it's obvious that there are none, everything is provided for today. And this is also confirmed by the operational headquarters of the Izmail district, particularly in the southern part of the Odesa region. All issues will be resolved to the maximum extent. There are no doubts about this," emphasized Bratchuk.
Situation and Defensive Measures
Bratchuk noted that despite the "extremely tense" situation in the Odesa region due to constant enemy attacks, the authorities are working on strengthening the defense and searching for alternative supply routes. He confirmed that protective processes in the air over Odesa are expanding, and transport connections have backup options.
"Yes, indeed, there may be some delays in logistics processes, but I do not hope that they will significantly impact the life of the region and the villages in general. Today, everyone is working as much as possible," added Serhiy Bratchuk.
A representative of the State Emergency Service assured that alternative logistics routes have already been developed and are functioning, which allows avoiding critical failures in ensuring the livelihood of the region.
As a Result of Attacks
It is reminded that as a result of the Russian attack on Odesa on the night of December 19, residents of one of the largest residential areas were left without electricity, water, and heat supply. One resident was injured.
As a result of another massive attack in Odesa, an energy infrastructure facility was damaged, and the shock wave broke the windows of a residential five-story building.
In times when information spreads instantly, it is important to verify facts before panicking. The situation in the Odesa region is under control, and local authorities are actively working to ensure calm in the region despite external threats. Therefore, residents should not succumb to disinformation and remain calm while services are working to protect the population and infrastructure.
