Zelensky on Trump's Peace Plan: Readiness for a Referendum and Doubts About the Kremlin.
According to ТСН: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed doubt about the Kremlin's real readiness to end the war on the terms proposed by the United States.
He emphasized that he has not yet received clear signals regarding Moscow's agreement to the peace plan presented by U.S. President Donald Trump.
"I have some intelligence data... but I am currently at a stage where I want to believe only the words of the leaders," he noted.
Zelensky also expressed hope that during the meeting with Trump he would be able to agree on the main conditions for ending the war. If Russia confirms its readiness for a ceasefire for at least 60 days, he is prepared to put the corresponding peace plan to a nationwide referendum.
Moreover, the President of Ukraine mentioned the almost full readiness of the 20-point peace plan.
The situation remains tense, and Zelensky's words once again underscore the importance of negotiations in achieving peace. In light of recent events, the future development of the conflict and the possibility of its resolution depend on the state of communication between Kyiv and Moscow.
