Heavy fighting continues in Kurovikh - Spokesman of the OSUV 'Khortytsia'

Intensive battles are currently taking place in the Kurovikh area, but that does not mean that the Kurovikh direction was not considered by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to Major Viktor Trehubov, spokesman for the operational-strategic grouping 'Khortytsia', the direction system in the operational-tactical grouping 'Donetsk' has been redistributed.

This is because the enemy has concentrated its forces in these directions. Therefore, it will be more logical to call them as such, since it is through these routes that the enemy attacks us,' - said Viktor Trehubov.

According to him, this happened due to the redistribution of enemy forces. What was previously referred to as the Vremivsk direction has become the Novopalivsk direction, part of the Kurovikh direction has been added to this direction, while another part of Kurovikh has been added to the Pokrovsk direction.

It should be noted that in the Novopalivsk direction, the enemy attempted to break through our defenders' defenses seven times in the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Velyka Novosilka, and Neskuchne. In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attacked in the settlements of Yantarne, Novotoretske, Promin, Zelenе, Novyi Trud, Chunyshyne, Zvirove, Uspenivka, Novoandriivka, Nadiivka, Petrivka, and Shevchenko. Our defenders stopped 70 enemy assaults.

Let us recall that on January 11, analysts from DeepState reported the complete occupation of Kurovikh in Donetsk region. At that Time, Viktor Trehubov stated that the Ukrainian military still holds positions in Kurovikh. Russian troops do not fully control the city.

According to my data, fighting continues in the Kurovikh area. Ukrainian positions are still held at the thermal power plant located in the city of Kurovikh. Therefore, it is impossible to claim that Russian troops have completely captured the city. But, of course, many houses have been damaged or destroyed. This is a fact,' - he said.

Trehubov emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not abandoned Kurovikh. 'Since the Ukrainian military still holds positions within the city, it is impossible to speak of any retreat,' - he added.
