Rocket attack in the Darnytskyi District of Kyiv

According to ТСН: In the Darnytskyi District of Kyiv, a private house was directly hit by an enemy 'Shahed' during a Russian rocket and drone attack.

The owner of this house, Oleksandr, who miraculously survived the strike, shared his experiences from that night.

In his opinion, the concrete ceiling saved his life as it withstood the impact and did not collapse.

“I woke up on the floor, glass shards were everywhere in the walls. God protected me, somehow a miraculous ceiling covered me. I grabbed the dog and wanted to get outside. The engine of the 'Shahed' lay in the children's room next to the bed,” Oleksandr recalled about the first minutes after the strike.

He also emphasized that his wife and children had fled to their grandmother's house for Christmas just in time, so no one was left in the house.

Oleksandr pointed out a nursing home nearby where 22 people were at that time. According to him, the consequences would have been much worse had the 'Shahed' hit there.

As a result of the explosion, everything in his house burned because the impact was caused by a combat drone and not by debris, which triggered a fire.

“Where is there a military object or anything else here? What have we done?” — Oleksandr rhetorically asks, commenting on this war crime of the terrorist state.

Moreover, it should be added that there had been reports of fires in several private houses due to the Russian attack. Because of the danger of fire spreading to the nursing home, rescuers evacuated ten people.

This incident again highlights the danger that Ukrainian cities face during the war. The situation in the Darnytskyi District is not only a personal tragedy for Oleksandr but also part of a broader security issue affecting many citizens. Attacks on peaceful individuals and vulnerable groups threaten the lives and health of numerous people, which is why the protection of civilians is a top priority for local and state services.
