Emergency power outages in Kyiv: residents have electricity for only 3 hours a day.
Emergency power outages in Kyiv
According to TSN.ua: Emergency power outages have been ongoing in Kyiv since January 14, 2023. Residents of the capital can use electricity for only about three hours a day, while they have to be without power for up to ten hours.
Information about power outages can be checked through a special bot on Telegram, as well as on the website or by contacting the housing office or homeowners association. Representatives of DTEK note that if there is no electricity at an address for more than 12 hours, it may indicate a local emergency. The situation in the capital remains complicated, and according to Stanislav Ihnatyev:
“Unfortunately, in the coming week residents will live under strict schedules.”
Impact on everyday life
In the conditions of constant power outages, residents of Kyiv face difficulties in everyday life, which can affect the operation of businesses and social infrastructure. The current situation is the result of long-standing problems with the energy infrastructure that arose due to military actions and shelling.
The government and energy companies are working to resolve these issues, but for now, residents must adapt to the new living conditions.
