According to ТСН: Russian oligarchs, referred to as the "wallets" of President Vladimir Putin, have begun secret negotiations about joint projects in Russia with business representatives from the US.

The article states that the individuals involved are Yuri Kovalchuk, Gennady Timchenko, and the brothers Arkady and Boris Rotenberg, all currently under sanctions.

According to information obtained by the publication, at closed meetings, representatives of the Russian oligarchs offered American companies access to gas fields, rare earth metals, and large energy assets.

Putin's "wallets" offered gas concessions in the Sea of Okhotsk and on four other sites.

They also discussed the extraction of rare earth metals near nickel deposits in Norilsk and in six unexplored regions of Siberia, as reported by sources of the publication.

Furthermore, WSJ informs that a college friend of Donald Trump Jr. and a sponsor of his father, Gentry Beach, was negotiating to purchase 9.9% of shares in the "Arctic LNG" project with the company "Novatek," partially owned by Timchenko.

Discussion of Oil Issues

Russian businessmen also considered issues in the oil sector. Sources of the publication confirm that the head of "Rosneft," Igor Sechin, had a secret meeting with Exxon Mobil's senior vice president Neil Chapman, where the return to the Sakhalin project was discussed, from which the American company exited after the start of the war in Ukraine.

Additionally, Exxon Mobil, billionaire investor Todd Boehly, and other American entrepreneurs were considering the possibility of purchasing assets from "Lukoil," the second-largest oil producer in Russia, which also came under US sanctions.

Closed Meeting in Miami

It was previously reported that at a closed meeting held in October at the villa of the White House special envoy Steve Vitkoeff in Miami, major joint projects were discussed, including the "Nord Stream" and rare earth metal extraction. Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and Putin's special representative Kirill Dmitriev were involved in the negotiations.

Kirill Dmitriev proposed using frozen Russian assets worth 300 billion euros as a basis for joint investments — from Arctic exploration to the reconstruction of Ukraine under US management.

Among the proposed ideas was even a joint mission to Mars involving SpaceX businessman Elon Musk.

It is also worth noting that the special envoy of President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation, Kirill Dmitriev, who is a key figure in negotiations with the US regarding peace in Ukraine, received an award from the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia.

These secret negotiations indicate Russian businessmen's attempts to establish ties with American partners despite existing sanctions. This could strengthen their positions in key industrial sectors such as energy resource extraction and rare earth metals, which is crucial for the development of the Russian economy.
