The head of the Energy Customs has been suspended due to a luxurious house: details of the investigation.
The head of the Energy Customs has been temporarily suspended from performing his official duties due to a journalistic investigation that revealed that the family of Anatoly Komar built an expensive house near Kyiv worth 70 million hryvnias and owns elite apartments.
This was reported by the press service of the State Customs Service of Ukraine on Telegram on Monday, August 4.
The suspension of Anatoly Komar
The State Customs Service of Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Finance, the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NACP), and law enforcement agencies, is conducting a review regarding the head of the Energy Customs, Anatoly Komar, according to the journalistic investigation.
The Customs Service has opened a disciplinary proceeding against Anatoly Komar with his suspension from duties
The Customs Service emphasized that they adhere to legality, integrity, and transparency.
Statement by Svyrydenko
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko instructed to verify the information about Anatoly Komar and quickly report the results.
Let us recall that earlier Svyrydenko had already instructed to create a competition commission for selecting a new head of the State Customs Service, and an inspector in Kyiv caused damage to the state budget of nearly one million hryvnias.
As a result of the journalistic investigation, the head of the Energy Customs has been temporarily suspended from office due to the high value of his property and discrepancies in his declarations. A review of all circumstances is underway, and a search for a new customs leader is being conducted.
