Former US President comments on his prostate cancer diagnosis for the first time
Joe Biden has commented for the first time on the discovery of prostate cancer with metastases to the bones. The politician thanked supporters on social media, emphasizing that cancer can affect any of us and announced his fight together with his wife.
«Cancer affects each of us. Like many of you, Jill and I have realized that we become strongest where we are broken. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support», – Biden emphasized.
It is worth noting that doctors diagnosed the former president with prostate cancer with metastases to the bones. This type of cancer is considered hormone-dependent, which gives a chance for successful treatment. Biden is currently discussing treatment options with his family.
Condolences and support were also expressed by former US President Donald Trump, former Vice President Kamala Harris, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. They wished the politician and his family a speedy recovery after the difficult diagnosis.
