According to TSN.ua: Ukrainian National Artist Ivo Bobul has publicly refuted claims made by his former wife, Lilia Sandulesa, who alleges he pressured her into having an abortion. These accusations emerged as part of the 'Alone with Glamour' interview project. Bobul and Sandulesa were married for a decade before their divorce in 2002.

In a recent interview, Bobul expressed shock at Sandulesa's statements regarding a pregnancy in late 1994. The artist's response was unequivocal.

"This is the first I'm hearing of it. After that interview, I lost all respect for Lilia. There is so much falsehood in her story that I was simply astonished, wondering where she got it all from and why she would do this," stated Ivo Bobul.

Bobul further commented that he had supported Sandulesa's career, claiming he lifted her 'from obscurity' and secured her a place on tour, which resulted in two successful concert runs. Such personal disputes between public figures often attract significant media attention in Ukraine.

"I told her she needed to take care of herself, that she should maintain a good appearance… And she takes offense at that?" the artist added.
