The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has confirmed Oleksandr Tsyvinsky as the director of the Bureau of Economic Security (BEB). Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported that the decision was made after the competition, checks, and polygraph tests.

'After the decision of the competition commission, the necessary checks, and passing the polygraph — there are no reservations about his candidacy,' Svyrydenko emphasized.

According to the Prime Minister, she hopes that with the new head of the Bureau, it will be more effective in combating shadow schemes and supporting partnerships with businesses. It is important that economic relations in Ukraine are clean and businesses can count on government support,' Svyrydenko added.

Oleksandr Tsyvinsky, a detective from NABU, became the head of the BEB after the competition. Nevertheless, the appointment was delayed due to doubts among high-ranking officials of the government. Procedures had to be followed according to the legislation, and Tsyvinsky also had to undergo a polygraph test.
