Kyiv remains without heat and light
According to TSN.ua: The situation with heating and electricity in Kyiv remains complicated. As of today, 400 apartment buildings in the city remain without heating out of 6000, which were affected after the attack on January 9. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that some of these 400 buildings are promised to receive heat by the evening. However, the energy situation also remains difficult.
State of electricity supply and support for residents
Kyiv is operating under emergency schedules for power outages. Residents of the city currently have about 3 hours of electricity and up to 10 hours without it. Vitali Klitschko noted that emergency outages will continue, further complicating the lives of Kyivans.
To support residents, 1200 heating points are operating in Kyiv. The Department of Social Policy of the Kyiv City State Administration has been tasked with providing hot meals once a day to residents who are registered. Klitschko also noted that the situation with heat on the right bank is already more stable, while on the left bank of the city it is more complicated.
In the conditions of continuous power and heat outages, Kyivans are facing serious challenges in everyday life.
Problems with heating and electricity in Kyiv are caused by recent attacks that have significantly damaged the infrastructure. Vitali Klitschko
The local authorities are making efforts to restore the supply of heat and light, but the situation remains tense. Heating points and social support programs are important elements for assisting residents in crisis conditions, and their role is increasing during winter cold periods. The government and energy companies will need time and resources to fully restore the heating and electricity supply system in the capital.
