Kyivrada developed rules for generators and surprised owners with decision on fines.
The Kyiv authorities are preparing unified recommendations for the use of generators in the city. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor and Secretary of the Kyiv City Council, Volodymyr Bondarenko. The collection of norms and rules began on September 12, and by the end of the year, the document is planned to be approved at the meeting of the Kyiv City Council. Importantly, the city authorities will not fine generator owners for landscaping violations - no such fines under Article 152 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses have been issued so far.
"I am convinced that the city will definitely not fine these objects," Bondarenko emphasized, adding that this issue was discussed with Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
Meanwhile, inspections of generators will still be carried out - this will be handled by the State Emergency Service, the State Consumer Service, and Energonadzor. According to the Secretary of the Kyiv City Council, this is necessary for safety, as improper connection of a generator to a residential building can lead to a fire or accident.
