The first IDP family bought housing under eOselya: how to get compensation

According to inkorr.com: The first family of internally displaced persons in Ukraine purchased their own housing thanks to the state initiative 'eOselya'. The family of Georgiy and Olga with their daughter Valeria, who moved from Donetsk in 2014, benefited from

a 70% compensation
for the down payment and monthly payments and received a house in the village of Chaiky near Kyiv. This was
reported by the Prime Minister
Yulia Svyrydenko.

What compensations will IDPs receive under the 'eOselya' mortgage program

Since September, the 'eOselya' program has become more accessible for internally displaced persons and residents of frontline areas. The state compensates 70% of the down payment on a mortgage, 70% of monthly payments for the first year, and also covers document processing costs up to 40,000 UAH.

How the first clients of 'eOselya' obtained their mortgage

Since the beginning of the war, the family lived in rented apartments in Kyiv. Georgiy met Olga in the capital, and together they are raising little Valeria. The family applied through the 'DiiA' app and quickly received credit at 'SKY BANK', where the documents were approved.

'We applied through DiiA and received approval. For me, this is a chance to feel at home again'
, Georgiy noted.

Key benefits of the 'eOselya' program for IDPs

  • 70% compensation for the down payment, making mortgages more accessible.
  • 70% coverage of payments in the first year to stabilize the budget.
  • Reimbursement of up to 40,000 UAH for notary fees and registration.
  • Quick approval through 'DiiA' without bureaucracy.

In 2025, it is planned to provide loans to 9.5 thousand IDP families and those from frontline regions. The state aims to expand access to housing, especially for those affected by the war.

This case is the first successful example of implementing a program aimed at helping people who lost their homes due to conflicts. With the adoption of new initiatives, the government hopes to attract even more families to the program, ensuring them a safer future.
