Lavrov names Europe the main obstacle to peace in Ukraine.
Lavrov on Europe's role in the conflict
According to ТСН: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is convinced that Europe is the "main obstacle" on the path to peace in Ukraine.
He stated this during an interview with propaganda media outlets.
"Europe does not hide its plans for preparing for war with the Russian Federation and has become the main obstacle to peace," he noted.
Lavrov also believes that Ukraine should bear responsibility for the lack of progress in peace negotiations. According to him, Kyiv allegedly does not demonstrate a willingness for constructive dialogue to end the conflict.
"The Zelensky regime shows no readiness for constructive negotiations," asserts the minister.
Furthermore, Lavrov has previously criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for his "contradictory statements." The minister is outraged that Europe allegedly wishes harm and suffering upon Russia.
Lavrov's statements, despite their absurdity, emphasize Russia's ongoing course of blaming Western countries for escalating the conflict. Words from the Russian minister often become a topic of discussion regarding international politics and the strategies chosen by European countries in response to Kremlin actions.
In light of these comments, it is important to observe further reactions from both Ukraine and international partners who are trying to find ways for a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
