Searches of Oleksandr Pyvnenko

The head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Malik, commented on the searches of the National Guard Commander Oleksandr Pyvnenko. He noted that some soldiers refused to carry out the tasks, while others were planning to go to Kyiv.

Malik shared his thoughts during a briefing.

'How do you still want to conduct a search of the National Guard commander, the military hero Pyvnenko? Just come in and start looking, considering any unknown question from the side. Does he deserve this? And then all this story spread in Telegram channels. Half of the National Guard simply refused to carry out the tasks because they doubt their commander. And the rest wanted to go to Kyiv.'

According to Malik, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko conducted rounds in all his departments and worked with the military personnel.

The head of the Security Service emphasized that Oleksandr Pyvnenko is an experienced and brave commander, a special forces officer known as the legendary 'Omehovets', who previously played an important role in Bakhmut, Donetsk region.

'And here he was simply invited for a conversation, and when they notified him from the front: 'Hey, call here.' Is this some kind of anecdote? They should have ambushed them with a senior officer, with a pistol, two magazines, and sent him.'

The head of the Security Service also noted that the leadership of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office did not announce any suspicion against Pyvnenko.

Recall that on May 9 and 10, searches were conducted in the National Guard against several officials, who were subsequently suspended. However, Commander Pyvnenko was not suspended and will continue to perform his duties.

During the searches of the National Guard Commander Oleksandr Pyvnenko, some soldiers refused to carry out the tasks, while others expressed a desire to go to Kyiv. At the same time, it is known that Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko went through all the departments of the National Guard and interacted with the warriors. Head of the SBU Vasyl Malik commented on the situation, describing Commander Pyvnenko as a highly professional and brave commander, noting his well-known military experience in various locations.
