Russia Launches Major March 7 Assault Across Ukraine, Causing Casualties in 10 Regions.

According to UATV: Russian forces carried out a large-scale attack across Ukraine on March 7, striking targets in 10 regions, including Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, and Odesa. This latest barrage resulted in civilian casualties, with both deaths and injuries reported. The assault is part of a sustained Russian air campaign targeting Ukrainian civilian infrastructure and population centers.
Zaporizhzhia region was hit particularly hard, suffering 760 strikes against 41 separate settlements. According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, the attack was exceptionally intense. In Dnipropetrovsk region, nearly 200 rescue workers and 60 pieces of equipment are involved in dealing with the aftermath. The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Ganzha, reported that a 48-year-old man was killed and a 69-year-old woman was wounded in the shelling.
Emergency Response and Official Reaction
In Odesa, more than 80 rescue personnel and 20 units of equipment are working to clear the damage. Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, confirmed the active efforts of emergency services in the region. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy provided details on the scale of the attack:
“On the night of March 7, 29 missiles and 480 attack drones were launched across Ukraine.” - Volodymyr Zelenskyy
Sumy region also experienced severe consequences from the bombardments. The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Grygorov, confirmed information about numerous attacks. The March 7 assault represents another tragic episode in the ongoing war, now in its third year. The attack on 10 separate regions underscores the continued aggression of Russian forces and the severe pressure on Ukraine's civilian population and emergency services, highlighting the critical need for sustained international support.
