NABU has handed over suspicion to Tymoshenko: Audio on the purchase of votes from MPs released.
According to ТСН: On Wednesday, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine confirmed that it has handed over a suspicion to the leader of one of the parliamentary factions.
The investigators also presented audio recordings that illustrate the mechanism of buying votes from MPs.
Although the name of the suspect is not mentioned in the release, it is known that it is the leader of the 'Fatherland Party' Yulia Tymoshenko.
According to the investigation materials, the corruption scheme did not limit itself to one-time payments. It envisaged the creation of a system in which the loyalty of MPs was bought for an extended period with a 'subscription'.
The money was paid in advance in exchange for executing instructions during votes.
In the released recordings, dated January 12, 2026, a female voice can be heard discussing the financial terms of cooperation. In particular, it is said:
“ten for two sessions”for one person.
Instructions for voting on personnel issues were also recorded. The scheme worked both to support decisions and to block them.
“As for the personnel issues, we will vote for the dismissal. And we will ‘not vote’ for the appointment… About everything, yes”, instructed the woman in the recording.
What Yulia Tymoshenko is suspected of
Recall that NABU and SAP suspect the leader of the 'Fatherland Party', MP Yulia Tymoshenko under § 4, Art. 369 of the Criminal Code – the offer to provide unlawful benefits to officials.
The investigation revealed that after the disclosure of corruption cases in Parliament at the end of 2025, she allegedly initiated a mechanism for regular payments to certain MPs in exchange for loyal behavior during votes, coordinated actions via messenger, and worked with advance payments.
Yulia Tymoshenko herself stated that there had been raids at the 'Fatherland Party' and described the actions of law enforcement as illegal and politically motivated, while the accusations are absurd. The pre-trial investigation continues, and the suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
How Tymoshenko responded to the accusations
Yulia Tymoshenko declared from the podium of the Supreme Council that the accusations against her are unfounded and reported an incident at the party office.
According to her statement, a group of more than 30 armed individuals, who arrived in several buses, attempted to break into the premises the night before, claiming they wanted to conduct a search without presenting any court decisions or procedural documents.
The politician emphasized that she was alone in the office and considers these actions illegal.
This situation around Yulia Tymoshenko once again highlights the tensions in the political environment of Ukraine. The fight against corruption remains a significant issue for the country, and new accusations lead to lively discussions both among MPs and ordinary citizens. The further development of events surrounding the investigations will show how this affects the political situation and trust in the authorities.
