The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has signed the 'Contract 18-24', which provides for a payment of 1 million UAH to volunteers. Hundreds of people have already signed these contracts and received their first payments. They have taken the oath and are preparing to carry out combat missions. Another one and a half thousand people are at the final selection stage and will soon also join the Defense Forces. In the 'Contract 18-24' project, 16 combat brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already joined, as well as brigades of the State Border Guard Service and the National Guard. The status of the project is constantly expanding, new brigades are being involved and new positions are appearing. This allows scaling the project and attracting more volunteers. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has also taken a step towards strengthening the country's defense capabilities by signing laws to extend martial law and mobilization. These laws will remain in effect until at least August 6, 2025.The high interest in the 'Contract 18-24' project indicates public support and people's desire to help defend the country. The engagement of new brigades and the entire process of working on the project indicate that this project is being taken seriously and continues to develop.
