Mobilized ex-prisoners returned to military unit in Odesa region after escape.

Three servicemen who signed a contract for military service left the training center in Odesa region on August 24. Within a day, they were found by law enforcement and returned to the military unit, said Oleksiy Mishchenko, acting head of communications of the Southern operational command.
According to Mishchenko, the escape of the servicemen was an attempt to use this Time independently. He also stated that the information that they had weapons was not true.
Mishchenko emphasized that the servicemen did not have weapons, so there was no threat to others. The servicemen were detained and returned to the military unit the next day. He also noted that this is not considered desertion, as they continue to remain servicemen of one of the mechanized brigades.
Mishchenko did not specify where and under what circumstances the escapees were apprehended. He also noted that an internal investigation of the military unit will be conducted, and responsible parties will be held accountable. There is currently no information on anyone being held accountable.
Earlier, citing sources in law enforcement agencies, it was reported that three former prisoners who were undergoing training at a center in Odesa region had escaped. According to the publication 'Dumska', the escapees had Kalashnikov rifles with them.
Recall that within the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, there will be people who have served sentences. The brigade's press service reported that among the recruits there are many patriots who expressed a desire to defend their homeland, as well as people with combat experience.
