Avocado Reduces the Risk of Heart Diseases by 16%: New Research Data.
According to ТСН: Regular consumption of avocado can significantly lower overall cholesterol and 'bad' LDL levels. It has been found that consuming two servings of avocado per week reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases by 16%.
This is confirmed by a study conducted by experts who analyzed data from adults with varying avocado consumption habits. It turned out that even moderate consumption of this fruit can lower overall cholesterol and LDL levels. The most pronounced effect is observed when consuming more than 250 g of avocado per day for more than 23 weeks.
Another study showed that servings of 140-235 g of avocado, consumed over 5-9 weeks, also contribute to lowering triglyceride levels.
The authors state that avocado is one of the few natural products that demonstrate an improvement in the lipid profile; however, further studies are needed for conclusive results.
These results indicate the potential benefits of avocado for the cardiovascular system. However, it is important to remember that further research is needed to fully understand the effects of this fruit. Such data can help not only in developing new dietary recommendations but also in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in a broader population.
