Kyiv Forecast and Safety Advisory

In Kyiv, nighttime temperatures are forecast around -10 degrees, rising to -2 degrees during the day. Meteorologist Natalia Didenko urges the public to exercise caution due to the risk of ice and slippery conditions on roads and sidewalks. She also notes that the rapid changes in atmospheric pressure and temperature can affect cardiovascular health. These conditions are typical for late winter in Eastern Europe, where continental air masses often clash.

"Icy patches and melting ice are possible on roads and sidewalks."

A warming trend is expected from February 12 onward, with daytime temperatures turning positive across most of Ukraine. These weather fluctuations could significantly impact travel conditions, requiring extra vigilance from drivers and pedestrians. The anticipated thaw following the cold snap may further alter road surfaces, making attention to safety paramount for all.
