Problems with voltage in Kyiv: how public transport operation has changed

According to ТСН: Kyiv communal services are making changes to public transport operations due to voltage issues in the power grid in the left-bank part of the city.

According to the information from the Kyiv City State Administration, these changes affect a number of tram and trolleybus routes. In Troieshchyna, the movement of electric transport, in addition to the indicated changes, is temporarily suspended.

How trams and trolleybuses operate

Trams operate on new routes:

  • # 8, 32 — on a separate route;

  • # 27 — metro station 'Poznyaky' — Voskresensky Avenue;

  • # 22 — Voskresensky Avenue — Darnytske depot;

  • # 29 — metro station 'Lisova' — metro station 'Poznyaky';

  • # 28, 35 — metro station 'Lisova' — Voskresensky Avenue.

Trolleybuses are operating on shortened routes:

  • # 30 — Kadetsky Hay Street — metro station 'Pochayna';

  • # 31 — metro station 'Lukyanivska' — metro station 'Pochayna';

  • # 47 — metro station 'Minska' — Oleksandr Arkhipenko Street — metro station 'Pochayna';

  • # 50 — Lybydska Square — Darnytska Square.

Temporary buses

To transport passengers on problematic routes, bus routes have been introduced:

Tram duplicates:

  • # 28-T — Myroslavska Street — Darnytska Square;

  • # 4-T — Myroslavska Street — 'Rainbow' station;

  • # 29-T — metro station 'Boryspilskaya' — Darnytska Square.

Trolleybus duplicates:

  • # 50-TRK — Myroslavska Street — Darnytska Square;

  • # 37-TR — Myroslavska Street — metro station 'Lisova';

  • # 30-TR, 31-TR — Myroslavska Street — metro station 'Pochayna';

  • # 29-TR — Darnytska Square — 'Kureniivka' railway station.

Meanwhile, DTEK has updated data on disconnection schedules in the capital. The right bank of Kyiv is transitioning to stabilization schedules, while on the left bank, due to the complicated situation with the networks, emergency disconnections continue.

Changes in transport operations are caused by the complicated situation with electricity supply, which has already affected passenger comfort. Destruction and emergency disconnections on the left bank underscore the importance of network stability for the normal functioning of public transport. Communal services are making efforts to ensure transportation under complex circumstances, offering alternative routes to minimize inconvenience for residents.
