Man Kills Elderly Grandparents in Lviv Region, Then Attempts Suicide.
Investigation Underway After Double Homicide in Lviv Region
According to TSN.ua: A 33-year-old man is in custody after allegedly killing his elderly grandparents in a village within the Lviv district on March 28, 2023. The victims—a 79-year-old grandfather and a 78-year-old grandmother—were found with signs of violent death, prompting an ongoing investigation by local authorities.
According to preliminary reports, the suspect first fatally attacked the grandmother before turning on the grandfather. Following the murders, he attempted to take his own life by inflicting wounds to his neck and arms and then jumping from a third-floor window. He is currently hospitalized under police guard.

The suspect has been formally notified of suspicion of intentional murder, a charge that carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
