State of emergency in the Odessa region

According to ТСН: A state of emergency of national level has been declared in the Odessa region due to prolonged violations of normal living conditions for more than 50 thousand residents of the region.

The head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, noted that military administration chiefs, community leaders, and the National Police have been instructed to explain to entrepreneurs the importance of minimizing lighting use to conserve electricity, especially in the context of the needs of the population and critical infrastructure facilities.

“In addition, a decision has been made to direct part of the funds from the reserve fund to communities to replenish stocks of fuel and lubricants. This is necessary to ensure the uninterrupted operation of generators that power critical infrastructure facilities: hospitals, educational institutions, resilience points, and other vital establishments,” Kiper reported.

The Artsiz community in Odessa region has been left without electricity due to strikes on energy infrastructure. Residents have been warned that electricity will not be available until December 26.

Two days ago, Russian troops struck the energy infrastructure of the Odessa region. Authorities warned that electricity restoration is not expected in the near future. Today, DTEK announced that the terms for restoring electricity have been extended, and power will not return until December 26.

The situation in the Odessa region remains difficult, and residents are adhering to warnings regarding electricity use. These steps reflect the relevance of conserving energy resources in the context of attacks on infrastructure. Authorities are doing everything possible to ensure stability in service provision to residents despite the challenges posed by the inflicted damage.
