The police of Rivne region reported that on Wednesday around 02:40, a message was received from the driver of the backup locomotive. The body of an unknown person was found in the village of Velykyi Oleksyn, on the tracks between the stations 'Rivne' and 'Obariv'.
'A investigative group of VPU No. 1 (Rivne) arrived at the scene immediately. The police established that the deceased was a 61-year-old local resident. The deceased had injuries characteristic of being hit by a train, including an amputation of a lower limb.'

This incident reminded of a similar situation in Vinnytsia region. On November 15, a train traveling from 'Vinnytsia' towards Zhmerynka hit a person. From the injuries sustained, the victim died on the spot, and the body was sent for forensic examination.
