A Beloved Deer Struck Down in Rivne Region
According to TSN.ua: On March 23, at around 7:15 PM, a deer named Boris was hit by a car on Tsentralna Street in the Zarichne district of the Rivne region. Boris had freely roamed the streets of the settlement for the past six years and was well-known among locals. A 57-year-old resident witnessed the accident.
The driver responsible was a 28-year-old woman operating a Mercedes. According to reports, she had not turned on her vehicle's headlights and fled the scene without providing any assistance to the injured animal. As a result, police filed three administrative charges against her for:
- causing a traffic accident;
- driving without insurance;
- leaving the scene of the incident.
Specialists from the 'Home for Rescued Animals' have traveled to Zarichne in an effort to save Boris. The local community, which had grown fond of the deer, is deeply concerned about his condition. There is hope that the experts can quickly provide the necessary medical care to rescue the settlement's beloved animal.
