The court in Transcarpathia sentenced teenagers for the rape and robbery of a woman.
According to ТСН: A court in Transcarpathia has sentenced four minors who committed the rape and robbery of a 46-year-old woman.
The crime occurred in July of this year when the four teenagers, aged 13, 14, 16, and 17, attacked the woman as she was returning home around midnight. The group of teenagers, offering the woman assistance, lured her to a deserted place under the pretext of escorting her to a taxi, where they took her jewelry and money, and then raped her in turn.
The court's verdict
Two of the accused were sentenced to seven years and one month of imprisonment. A third defendant, who had a previous conviction, was sentenced to seven years and two months in prison.
The materials regarding the youngest of the rapists, who has not reached the age of criminal responsibility, were submitted to the court to decide on his placement in a specialized institution.
The victim's reaction
As noted by a local journalist, in the courtroom, the victim was crying but expressed satisfaction with the verdict.
Earlier, there were reports of another incident in Transcarpathia when two men raped a 15-year-old girl after getting her drunk.
This case has caused a wide public outcry and highlights serious safety issues faced by women, especially at night. It is important to take measures to ensure their protection and prevent similar crimes in the future.
