Gas prices in Ukraine
According to TSN.ua: For April 2026, the national joint-stock company 'Naftogas' has set a price of 7.96 Hryvnias per cubic meter. This rate will remain unchanged until the end of the following month. The costs incurred for consumers depend on the actual amount of gas used.
The 'Fixed' tariff plan
The gas tariff for April 2026 applies under the 'Fixed' tariff plan, which expires this month. For households consuming the following amounts, the costs are as follows:
- For 9.9 cubic meters of gas, a charge of 78.80 Hryvnias is incurred;
- For 16.2 cubic meters, 128.95 Hryvnias are due;
- Those using 31.5 cubic meters pay a total of 250.74 Hryvnias.
Additionally, the maintenance of gas networks in 2026 will cost at least 120 Hryvnias.
'Naftogas risks starting the next heating season with a fuel deficit.' – Analysts
The unchanged gas tariff until the end of April 2026 provides consumers with some certainty in planning their ancillary costs for the time being. However, experts warn of a potential gas shortage that could threaten supply during the heating period. This prospect is causing anxiety among many households and could lead to price increases in the long run. It is therefore recommended to closely monitor developments in the gas market and prepare for possible adjustments to tariffs and supplies.
