According to ТСН: The police of the Lviv region is conducting an investigation into the attack on the artists of the national ensemble 'Hutsuliya' and their driver in the city of Sheptytskyi. As a result of the incident that occurred at a gas station, four residents of Ivano-Frankivsk sustained injuries.

Law enforcement officials established that the beating occurred on the territory of the gas station on Lvivska Street around 3:30 AM. The conflict arose between a group of young people and the driver and passengers of a minibus who were returning from a tour to Ivano-Frankivsk. Among them were artists of the Precarpathian folk ensemble.

As a result of the conflict, three artists and the driver, aged between 25 and 44, sustained injuries. One of the victims has a fracture, while others have contusions and abrasions.

Investigation ongoing

The police have identified all participants in the clash, with whom investigative actions are currently being conducted. The prosecutor's investigative department has opened a criminal proceeding under the article on hooliganism, which provides for punishment in the form of restriction of liberty for up to five years or imprisonment for up to four years. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

It is worth noting that a group of approximately six unknown young men and three girls attacked the artists of the 'Hutsuliya' ensemble, who were returning from a tour. Artistic director Vasyl Sheremeta reported that the attackers broke into the bus and used physical violence. As a result of the attack, the artists sustained multiple injuries: broken noses, rib contusions, concussion, a complex fracture with displacement (surgery needed), as well as the administrator was injured.

This incident has sparked public outrage and raised questions about safety on the streets. The attack on artists representing Ukrainian culture is upsetting and highlights the importance of protecting creative individuals. The police urge anyone who witnessed the events to come forward with information for the swift resolution of the case.
