Drones Violated No-Fly Zone During Zelensky's Plane Arrival in Dublin

According to ТСН: Four military-type drones violated the no-fly zone and moved towards the plane of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which was landing at Dublin Airport (Ireland).

The incident occurred in the evening. The plane reportedly landed earlier than scheduled, and the drones were in the air at the time of its landing.

Sources report that the drones took off from the northeast of Dublin and remained airborne for about two hours. It is currently unknown who launched them and where they are. The police are conducting an investigation to determine whether the drones were launched from the shores of Dublin or from an unnoticed ship.

The drones were spotted by observers from the Irish naval vessel LÉ William Butler Yeats, which was in close proximity to the shores of Dublin.

The Irish military decided not to shoot down the drones, as there were no appropriate means on board the vessel. The Irish Air Corps plane, which was patrolling the airspace, also did not intervene.

It should be noted that the Irish armed forces have limited capabilities to combat drones.

Recall that during the visit to Ireland, President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska met with the families of Irish servicemen who died defending Ukraine.

This incident once again underscores the importance of security in the airspace, especially during diplomatic visits. The need for careful monitoring of drones is becoming increasingly urgent as technologies continue to evolve, and threats may arise from unexpected sources.
