Drone Attack on Moscow: Aviation Collapse Delays Armenian Prime Minister's Flight.
According to ТСН: The night drone attack on Russia led to the temporary closure of airspace over Moscow, causing severe disruptions in civil aviation. The emergency situation, particularly the delay of the Armenian Prime Minister's flight, was only the 'visible part' of a massive aviation collapse.
Aviation expert Konstantin Kryvolap believes that restrictions were imposed during the night drone attack over Moscow, which immediately affected airport operations.
Collapse far beyond a single flight
According to him, the incident involving the Armenian Prime Minister's plane is just the tip of the iceberg. The true testimony to systemic problems was the massive failure in schedules, cancellations, and delays of many flights in Moscow's airports.
'They say this is currently the most powerful collapse, and the air alert lasted over 5–6 hours, during which many flights were canceled.'
Kryvolap noted. He also added that important factors in such attacks are not only the number of drones launched but also the accuracy of strikes, as well as the exhaustion of Russian air defense.
Questions about air defense effectiveness
Russian authorities claim to achieve '100% interception' of all targets. However, the expert is skeptical about such statements.
'The Russians claim they intercept 100%. Honestly, I don't really believe it. We expect official confirmations.'
Kryvolap emphasized. According to him, final conclusions regarding the effectiveness of the attack and its real consequences for Russia can only be made after receiving confirmations about crash sites and possible damages to objects, which could show the true scale of the strike and the exhaustion of Russian air defense.
It is also worth noting that on the night of December 11, drones attacked Veliky Novgorod, where a fire occurred at a chemical plant producing fertilizers and industrial products.
As a result of the attack on Moscow and the Moscow region on December 11, the airplane with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was unable to land in the Russian capital and had to divert to a reserve airfield.
This situation with drones has not only affected individual flights but also indicates serious problems in the security system of Russian airspace. The events that occurred highlight the importance of quality air defense and readiness for new challenges.
