The number of injured as a result of the night shelling of Kharkiv has increased to six, Kharkiv city mayor Ihor Terekhov reported.
«As a result of the hit in the Slobidskyi district of the city, a private house is burning. Emergency services are working at the site of the hit», – wrote the mayor at dawn.
Initially, the mayor reported two injured, but later clarified that their number had increased to six.
On August 24, the occupiers also launched a missile strike on the private sector of the city of Balakliya. Residential buildings, outbuildings, garages, and private vehicles were destroyed and damaged.
In addition, fires occurred on the territory of two private houses. Two residential buildings, a garage, and a car were burning over an area of more than 170 square meters.
Rescuers extinguished the fire. A 55-year-old man was injured.
In Chuhuiv, the enemy struck the private sector. Among the injured is a four-year-old child. She has an acute reaction to stress; hospitalization was not required. Two other women received help on the spot.
Also, on the evening of August 24, Russian troops launched an air-missile strike on the private sector of the city of Sumy. Due to two hits, preliminarily seven people were injured, two of whom are in serious condition.
Russian occupiers are trying to assault Ukrainian positions in Kharkiv region, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine assure: on this front there «will be good news» for Ukraine.
