UDO explains the obstacles of NABU: why witnesses are not allowed to the government quarter

According to ТСН: The State Protection Administration (UDO) assures that it is not obstructing the work of NABU employees.

This was stated by the head of UDO Oleksiy Morozov in a comment to 'Radio Liberty'. He noted that NABU employees are trying to bring unfamiliar people into the territory of the government quarter.

'We are currently identifying these individuals. We are checking everyone for who they are,' - explained the head of UDO.

Morozov pointed out that there is no information about the individuals attempting to enter the territory of the government quarter in the court ruling. He added:

'And in general, according to the Criminal Procedure Code, the witnesses must be people who are, say, randomly found on the street and brought to the event location. These people are intentionally brought through the checkpoints of the government quarter. It is clear that we are taking measures to check, identify their identities, and verify who they are,' - explained the head of UDO.

In Morozov's opinion, these individuals are allowed to pass 'from beyond the government quarter, but there is a procedure for admission; usually, an order is made.'

Earlier, it was reported that NABU uncovered an organized criminal group that included current people's deputies of Ukraine. They systematically received bribes for voting in parliament.

It was also previously revealed that UDO employees resisted detectives during investigative measures in the committees of the Verkhovna Rada.

This situation underscores the tension between different state bodies and confirms the need for clear coordination of actions during investigations. The interaction between UDO and NABU will be crucial in efforts to combat corruption at the level of high state structures.
