Russian drones attacked Odesa region: energy facility and residential buildings damaged.
According to ТСН: On the night of December 11, Russian troops attacked the Odesa region using strike drones. As a result of these attacks, energy facilities, two private houses, and an administrative building were damaged.
Government response to the attack
The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, reported that 'Odesa region experienced another enemy attack by strike UAVs aimed at destroying the civilian, energy, and transportation infrastructure of the region.'
He also noted that air defense forces were able to destroy most of the enemy drones; however, unfortunately, there was a loss of an energy facility. Two private houses were damaged, and windows and doors were blown out in the administrative building.
Fire and consequences of the attack
The fires caused by the Russian attack were quickly extinguished by rescue teams. Data on the dead and injured has not yet been received, all services are actively working to eliminate the consequences.
Other attacks in Ukraine
On the same night, Russian occupiers struck energy facilities in the Kremenchuk district of the Poltava region, leading to damage to infrastructure and the outbreak of fires due to falling debris and direct hits.
This attack highlights the alarming security situation in Ukraine, as Russian troops continue to strike strategically important facilities. After each such incident, it is essential not only to eliminate the consequences but also to improve air defense systems to protect civilian objects and the lives of people.
